Have you been saving old shirts and other reclaimed fabric and would like to make them into a quilt?
Bring along your scraps and bits and bobs and enjoy the company of other quilters on a similar journey, while you combine the old with the new to make your own unique project.
Inspired by Sherri Lynn Woods’ Make-Do quilts, The Salvage Project is an informal, social evening hosted by The Creative Retreat founder, and experienced quilting teacher, Jules McMahon. Jules will help you work through concept and design and assist with any technical challenges with using different substrates and worn clothing.
Held on the second Wednesday night of each month from 6pm to 10pm*, The Salvage Project is designed to connect you with the community of makers who want to combine repurposed fabrics with their stash
Sessions are $35 each however if you pre-pay 6 sessions, you receive six sessions for $30 each (add 6 products to the cart and use coupon code SalvageProject) **
*As this is no not a formal class, if you can’t make it right on time, that’s ok, come whenever getting out of life commitments allows you to.
**Because life has a tendency to get in the way of our sewing plans, you may use the six sessions over the eight months rather than six in a row. Any sessions not used in those eight months are forfeited.
